Microsoft Teams - Teams icon missing in New chats & channels experience

Introduction

If ever you had the chance to get your hands onto the New chats & channels experience, you may notice that the Teams icon is missing from the tray on the left Teams icon missing

To access the channels, it is an option within the chats.

Revert

In case you find it confusing you can turn it off by following those steps

  1. Click on the button Update, settings and more at the top of Teams

  2. Toggle the New Chat & Channels Experience Toggle

  3. Turn off experience by selecting a reason Turn off experience

  4. Voila, the Teams icon and previous experience is back. Teams icon back

If above option does not work , go to settings > Chats and channels and select the option ‘Separate’ to achieve same outcome. Chats and channels separate

I find it hard to change habits and hence reverted back to old experience.
