Use a Visual Studio Subscription for Copilot Cowork Pay-As-You-Go Billing
If you want to extend Microsoft 365 Copilot usage with pay-as-you-go billing, you can use Visual Studio subscription with Azure credits as the billing method, as long as the benefit is already activated and available in the correct tenant.
This is useful when you want to enable additional credits for services such as Copilot Cowork, the Work IQ API, or managed applications.
What this setup does Within M365 Admin center > cost management, you can create a spending policy and point it to an Azure billing method.

If you are building with Copilot Studio beyond the included M365 Copilot license entitlements, you eventually need a pay-as-you-go billing plan for additional usage specially for Github Copilot Harness which requires credits even for development.
